they tried to kill my dog, they did,
the sadness in their face was a frown,
pulled down by pitchforks and pain
the devil works at a distance,
as the story goes, and
the antagonist Antigone,
she took them down,
one by one,
all those heathens
who see muscle
instead of soul
who hide behind the masks,
puppy dogs and rainbows,
love songs and guitars,
“we love you, we care”,
rock and roll, punk rockers:
cheers to your health,
Dr. Faust.
Have you solved the riddle,
the riddle of the Sphinx?
What is mankind?
What is human?
I think you gave up,
humanity.
I think you blink too much
and stare in between,
walls and ceilings and floors:
space is gone.
they seem to know what kills us,
so they must know what makes us live!
cowardice is grateful for fear,
you see,
and is as the morning sunlight,
pitter patter are the dew drops
the childish toes dance
upon the sharp black rocks:
pain delivers love to them,
when the devil’s claws
are painted pink,
like wrong rainbows,
so that’s probably why,
they tried to kill my dog, they did,
with poison in the meat,
the sadness in their face was a frown,
pulled down by pitchforks and pain
nightmares and preying dreams.
